Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made the sport, she finished second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes at her particular events.
