Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix completed high school and signed an agreement to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she won the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in her respective events.
